The hiking trails possibilities are almost endless. And as a result also very diverse and varied! Here you can choose a new hiking route each day, depending on your mood (and level of difficulty).

A world of experiences!

Our insider tips for your holidays

The Rittner Horn

Our tip for families
The panoramic mountain Rittner Horn, where you can combine hiking with the "stuff of legends". Because "The fabulous world of Toni" and a breathtaking 360° panoramic view of the Dolomites, the Ortler and the Ötztal and Zillertal Alps await you there. And all this is easily accessible by cable car and after a one hour hike.

Villanderer Alm - Rittner Horn

Our tip for nature lovers with stamina
A long hike from the Gasserhütte to the Rittner Horn. It might be long, but it also scores with 360º views and with a few rustic places to stop off including the Plun Hütte on the Mair, the Oberen Horn Haus and the Gasserhütte itself. Take the train to Klausen and then the bus to Villanders.

Europe's largest Hochalm mountain pasture

A paradise, in summer and in winter
Seemingly endless landscapes. Breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. And outdoor experiences that will draw every visitor to the area into the nature. If all of this applies to one place, then you have arrived in the Dolomite region of Seiser Alm. Here on the Schlern mountain, you can go on wonderful hikes and walks in the warm summer months and cruise down the slopes in winter. And the best thing about it: the Hochalm can be reached from Barbian in no time. But from us you can get to everywhere else that is beautiful anyway... you already know that.

Our alpine hut

Our rustic alpine hut is nestled in the unmistakable natural landscape of the Barbianer Alm.
From May onwards, it is open for our house guests every Wednesday throughout the summer.

Always on Wednesdays: Rösslwirt's Alpine Day

Wednesday is Rösslwirt's alpine day. Karl and Hildegard, the senior managers of the house, invite our guests to the alpine hut and treat them to a hearty alpine snack and some excellent wine. Things begin at the Huber Kreuz car park, which you can reach with the "Torggler" village taxi or with your own car. Each guest can go at their own pace (it doesn't always have to be a communal hike).
It takes about 1 hour to reach our little retreat in the mountains!
