Our insider tips for your holidays

Europe's largest Hochalm mountain pasture

A paradise, in summer and in winter
Seemingly endless landscapes. Breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. And outdoor experiences that will draw every visitor to the area into the nature. If all of this applies to one place, then you have arrived in the Dolomite region of Seiser Alm. Here on the Schlern mountain, you can go on wonderful hikes and walks in the warm summer months and cruise down the slopes in winter. And the best thing about it: the Hochalm can be reached from Barbian in no time. But from us you can get to everywhere else that is beautiful anyway... you already know that.

On the slopes, get set, go!

Our winter experience: Ski Roulette
The Dolomiti Superski ski network consists of 12 (yes, you read that right!) ski areas in the Dolomites, all of which are not far from our house. Not only do 1,220 kilometres of pistes await you there, but there are also 460 lifts. So it will certainly never be boring. And if you can't decide where to go, WE can decide for you: with our Ski Roulette - a holiday package including ski bus, which takes you directly from the Rösslwirt to a different winter adventure area each day.

Saltria cross-country ski trail

Our tip for cross-country skiing novices and pleasure seekers
The Saltria circular trail on the Seiser Alm, which goes from the mountain station southwards in the direction of Goldknopf and back again. It is the lowest-lying trail on Europe's largest high alpine pasture and makes it winding way occasionally through the forest, but mostly over extensive alpine meadows... and under the glorious sun!

Year after year

The Christmas market in Brixen
Christmas markets are seemingly everywhere in the Alpine region, but the one in Brixen is something truly special. Or have you ever drunk mulled wine surrounded by the ancient town walls and in the shadow of a cathedral, looked for Christmas presents or simply soaked up the atmosphere? The Christmas market in Brixen not only delights guests and locals, but also big and smaller gourmets alike. Come by and you'll see what we're talking about!
